Martine porte une robe blanche et des chaussures rouges. (Martine is wearing a white dress and red shoes.) Je vais acheter un jean noir. (I’m going to buy some black jeans.)

The colors marron, orange and bleu marine are invariable. They don’t change to match the nouns they describe. Mes chaussettes sont marron. (My socks are brown.) Ils portent des t-shirts orange. (They’re wearing orange t-shirts.)
