Ocean Life The main problem caused by water pollution is that it kills life that depends on these water bodies. Dead fish, crabs, birds and sea gulls, dolphins, and many other animals often wind up on beaches, killed by pollutants in their habitat.

Misuse and Effects The misuse of water pollution can cause damaging consequences and a threat to human life. Two-thirds of marine life is endangered now. It affects water pollution because the animals will die because of what we humans throw in the ocean.

Source of Problem We have figured out that the source of this global issue is humans. Two million tons of human waste is disposed in water every day. An estimated 1,000 children die every day due to polluted water. Humans are throwing more than 2,000 tons of waste and trash in the ocean.

Ecosystem Plants and animals are affected by water pollution too. If something that looked like a turtle’s food was thrown into the ocean, a turtle could eat it and choke and die.

Researchers have calculated that $44 million a year is spent on protecting aquatic species. Fresh water in the world is only 2.5% of the total water available on this planet. According to UNICEF, more than 3,000 children die everyday globally. Effects on the Economy

Solutions and Student Plan Current solutions to solve problem are: Conserve water whenever possible, report misuse, and participate in anti-litter campaigns. Our student plan is to take trips all over the world and then we will build multiple trash cans in a row. They will spell out ”Stop Polluting the Ocean”. I hope that my plan will stop water pollution around the world. Working together we can make a difference.
