MGT3917 Managing Human Resources (1) Course Aims (1) To enable students to develop awareness of the central importance of human resources in the effective and efficient operation of organisations. To develop within students knowledge of the role, functions and range of activities undertaken by a Human Resource Management department within an organisation.

MGT3917 Managing Human Resources (2) Course Aims (2) To familiarise students with the processes and techniques of human resource management so that they could be reasonably expected to understand and appreciate human resource practices within work organisations within which they may be employed; To promote among students an awareness of contemporary debates and controversies within the relevant theoretical and applied areas of human resource management.

MGT4921 International Dimensions of Management (1) Course Aims Develop students’ understanding of the contextual influences and organizational factors which shape international business organizations. Provide students with knowledge of managerial practices within cultural settings, particularly comparing East Asia with Western countries. Develop students’ practical skills to analyze the current issues in international business organizations.
