Readiness Standards Supporting Standards Encompass 30–40% of the eligible TEKS Will make up 60–65% of the assessment Defined as those TEKS considered critical for success in the current grade or subject and important for preparedness in the grade or subject that follows. © 2011 Region XIII System Support Team HB 2135 Students in grades 5 and 8 who are enrolled in an above grade level or for HS credit… DO NOT have to take both STAAR EOC and STAAR grade level tests… This removes the SSI requirement for those students enrolled in higher level courses and taking EOCs… However, the student will still be required to take and pass the reading or math portion of the grade level STAAR exam provided they are not enrolled in both Algebra and English I.

Reference materials will be included in test booklets. Dictionaries must be supplied for English I, II and III EOC.
