Latino Vote 12n12 A nonpartisan campaign for Latino civic engagement, accountability, and empowerment Sponsored by Southwest Voter Registration Education Project and many allies including National Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Communities, MAPA, LULAC, and hundreds of organizations in the National Latino Congreso, etc. National nonpartisan campaign to contact 5 million Latinos during presidential cycle with a $5 million budget. The goal is make Latino issues a top priority at the local, state and national levels. Will help raise Latino voting to 12 million votes cast in Nov. 2012, representing the largest Latino voter increase in US history –an increase of 2.3 million voters over Will help raise Latino voter registration to 15 million voters, an increase of 3.3 million compared to 2008 A Nonpartisan Campaign for Latino Civic Engagement, Accountability, and Empowerment

Latino Vote 12n12 Conducting activities from Sept 2011 through Nov 2012 across the US including: organizing, research, training, and funding services to 10, 000 volunteers from hundreds of organizations Will Focus on: communities where redistricting has created new opportunities for Latino voters to elect candidates of choice for Congress, State Legislature, and local offices. For example: Southern New Mexico, Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Southern and Central California, Bay Area, Dallas, Houston, South Texas, eastern North Carolina, South and Central Florida, A Nonpartisan Campaign for Latino Civic Engagement, Accountability, and Empowerment

Latino Vote 12n12 Will Focus on: Communities where local and state governments have sponsored discriminatory or anti-immigrant policies like in Arizona and Georgia.
