A. BELIEVE NOT IN A HORSE though A HORSE IS STRONG.Psa. 20:7 1. Negatively our Strength will Fail without God. An horse is a vain thing for safety… Psa. 33:17 Be it found… a. in Horses because they are Many{Isa. 31:1 b. in Chariots and their Multitude. {Isa. 31:1 c. in Horsemen and their Might cf. Psa. 33:16 but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord! Woe to those who...rely on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong;

1. Negatively our Strength will Fail without God. Psa. 33:17 2. Positively, let our Strength be in Faith trusting God. Psa. 147:10, 11 a. God's Strength is Superior to any might. Hos. 1:7; Deut. 20:1 b. God's Spirit is Supreme over any might. Be under the Master's Direction. Psa. 32:8 b. Be under the Father’s Discipline. Heb. 12:5-11 A.BELIEVE NOT IN A HORSE though A HORSE IS SPEEDY. Be ye not like the horse, or like the mule that have no understanding...

2. It needs the Bit and Bridle for Constraint (or it will rush Headlong) Psa. 32:9 a. To Control its Whole Body. Jas. 3:3 b. To Control any Wee Bit. Be ye not like the horse… that have no understanding, whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

C. BE NOT LIKE THE HORSE though A HORSE IS SPEEDY Psa. 32:9; Jer. 8:6 1. Used of a People Quick to do their Own Thing. Jer. 8:6b cf. 7:23, 24 (-28) every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth to battle. They refused to… a. Obey God's Word. 7: 23, 24a b. Walk in God's Ways. 7: 23b, 24b c. Follow God so that they might be Well. 7: 23c, 24c  Well (yatab): Fr. root, to make well, lit. (sound, beautiful) or fig. (happy, successful, right)  In this Year of the Horse, God wants us to Rejoice and have A Joyful and Prosperous (Successful) Chinese New Year 23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, (a) Obey my voice,…and (b) walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, (c) that it may be well unto you. But they (a) hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but (b) walked inthe counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and (c) went backward, and not forward.

2. Used of a People not Quickened to the Signs of the Times. The Horses are Coming…  And I saw…  lo a black horse;  and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand: a denarius…  For a measure of wheat;  For 3 measures of barley  and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

THE HORSES ARE COMING … God's People must be Quick to know the Times. Jer. 8:16, 7 My people know not the judgments of the Lord. for NOW it is high Time to awake… Rom. 13:11 a. To Rise up to the Times. Rom. 13:11ff b. To Redeem the Time.Eph. 5:15,16 c. To Realise that Now is the Time. II Cor. 6:2
