Have faith in God. Matthew 21:18-22 Mark 11:19-26

I. The meaning of the barren and cursed fig tree vs 19

Isa 5:7: For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.

Luk 13:6: He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

Luk 13:7: Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

Luk 13:8: And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

Luk 13:9: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Mat 7:15: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Mat 7:16: Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Mat 7:17: Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. Mat 7:18: A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Mat 7:19: Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Mat 7:20: Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Mat 7:21: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

II. The moving of mountains vs 21 Mark 11:22 Jas 4:2: Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

Jas 4:3: Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

III. The main hindrance to prayer Mark 11: 25,26 Matt 6:12: And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

IV. The method for gaining eternal life vs 22 If in this life you could wish for one thing, what would you wish for?

1 Jn 5:11: And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 1 Jn 5:12: He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

1 Jn 5:13: These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

1 Jn 5:14: And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

1 Jn 5:15: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
