2. The Love OF God Matthew 22:37

3. Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the L ORD he is God; there is none else beside him (Deut. 4:35) Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the L ORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else (Deut. 4:39)

4. Hear, O Israel: The L ORD our God is one L ORD (Deut. 6:4) See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand (Deut. 32:39)

5. And thou shalt love the L ORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might (Deut. 6:5)

6. And now, Israel, what doth the L ORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the L ORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the L ORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul(Deut. 10:12)

7. And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the L ORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul (Deut. 11:13)

8. And the L ORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the L ORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live (Deut. 30:6)

9. For thou art an holy people unto the L ORD thy God: the L ORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The L ORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

10. But because the L ORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the L ORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

11. Know therefore that the L ORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations (Deut. 7:6-9)

12. God’s Love For Mankind Mankind sometimes referred to as "the world" (Jn. 1:10) God has demonstrated His love in sending Jesus (Jn. 3:16) This is even more remarkable when we consider that we do not deserve this (Rom. 5:6-8)

13. Christ loves us too and is our sacrifice (Eph. 5:2) Consequently, God's grace is available to all (Titus 2:11)

14. We love him, because he first loved us (1 Jn. 4:19) Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind This is the first and great commandment (Matt. 22:37-38)

15. How Does A Person Love God? Saying "I love you" isn't sufficient (Matt. 7:21) Love is demonstrated in a willingness to follow in obedience (Jn. 14:15, 23-24) Love is manifested in keeping God's commandments (1 Jn. 5:1-3)

16. The particulars With all your heart Absolutely nothing comes before Him (Matt. 6:33) Not with a divided heart (Matt. 15:7-9) With all your soul (Rom. 12:1-2) With all your mind (2 Tim. 2:15)

17. God loves you and wants you to be saved (1 Tim. 2:4) Jesus is the author of salvation to all who obey Him (Heb. 5:9) Believe in Jesus (Jn. 8:24) Repent of sins (Lk. 13:3) Confess Jesus (Matt. 10:32) Be Baptized (Mk. 16:16)
