PROCEDURE FOR SALE OF AGRICULTURE PRODUCE There are two procedure for sell of agriculture produce namely Direct purchase Through Commission agent

MARKET FEE STRUCTURE PREVAILING IN STATE MARKET FEE VARIES FROM 0.5 PERCENT TO 1.6 PERCENT 0.5 percent for Maize,jowar, bajara jeera,isabgol 1 percent for oilseeds 1.6 percent for other notified commodity

EXEMPTION ON PAYMENT OF MARKET FEES 50 PERCENT OF MARKET FEE IS EXEMPTED UNDER RAJASTHAN INVESTMENT PROMOTION SCHEME PERCENT EXEMPTION FOR EARLY BIRD PROJECT, REGARDING MARKET FEE EST. UNDER POLICY FOR PROMOTION OF AGRO- PROCESSING.AND AGRI.BUSI.2010

MAJOR CROPS ARRIVAL IN DIFFERENT MARKETS Kharif :maize, jowar, guar, ground nut soyabean, urad,moong,cotton Rabi : wheat, mustard, gram, barley, coriander,cumin

RATE OF COMMISSION PAYABLE TO COMMISSION AGENT AND BY WHOM IT IS PAYABLE The rate of commission varies from one percent to two percent 1 percent for jowar,bajra,maize,jeera, isabgol 2 percent for other commodities 6 percent for fruit and vegetables COMM.PAID BY BUYER

CHARGES PAYABLE TO MARKET FUNCTIONARIES BY SELLER AND BY BUYER Charges payable for unloading,filling of bags,sieving and loading in the scale for weighmen are borne by seller Charges for weighment and unloading from scale and commisssion are borne by the purchaser of agriculture produce

CONTRIBUTION OF INCOME PAID BY APMC TO BOARD Every market committee shall pay to the fund such amount as may specified by the state government for contribution to board and it will varies from 10 to 30 percent depending on market category Super class 30 percent A class 20 percent B class 10 percent kisan kalyan kosh contribution varies from 3 to 5 percent depending on market category

TOTAL INCOME OF MARKET FEES Market fees collected by 129 APMC crore

ANY OTHER FEE TAX /LOCAL LEVY No other tax/local levy are collected by APMC’s

REFORMS ACC.TO MODEL ACT IN APMC ACT ESTABLISHMENT OF PRIVATE SUB – MARKET YARDS (1)PROCESSING OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (2)EXPORT OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (3)TRADE OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE OF PARTICLAR SPECIFICATION;AND (4) GRADING,PACKING AND TRANSACTION IN OTHER WAY BY VALUE ADDITION OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE.

ESTABLISHMENT OF PRIVATE CONSUMER-FARMER MARKET (1)PRIVATE CONSUMER-FARMER MARKET MAY BE ESTABLISHED BY DEVELOPING INFRASTRUCTURE AS PRESCRIBED, BY ANY PERSON IN ANY MARKET AREA. AT SUCH PLACE,PRODUCER OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE HIM SELF MAY SELL HIS PRODUCE DIRECTLY TO THE CONSUMER IN THE PRESCRIBED MANNER: PROVIDED THAT THE CONSUMER SHALL NOT PURCHASE MORE THAN SUCH QUANTITY OF A COMMODITY AT A TIME IN THE CONSUMER – FARMER MARKET AS MAY BE PRESCRIBAD.

(2) MARKET SERVICE CHARGES SHALL BE COLLECTED ON SALE OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE FROM THE SELLER AT SUCH RATE, NOT EXCEEDING HALF PERCENT OF THE WORTH OF THE AGRICULTURAL PRODUE, AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE STATE GOVERNMENT AND SHALL BE PAID TO THE PROPRIETOR OF THE CONSUMER – FARMER MARKET, (3) SAVE AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS ACT, NO MARKET FEE SHALL BE LEVIABLE ON THE TRANSACTIONS UNDERTAKEN IN THE CONSUMER –FARMER MARKET.
