Sr. Cortez Ham (34) of Central/Denfeld High School meets Jr. Austin Pohlin (33) of Grand Rapids at the hoop at the St. Luke’s Orthopedic & Sports Medicine All- Star Game held at Duluth East High School on March 29. The top High School boys basketball players from the Duluth area and the Iron Range played against each other. A 3-point and dunk competition preceded the game.

Freshman goalie Aaron Crandall allows a goal during warmups for the UMD Bulldogs prior to the opening playoff game versus St. Cloud State University on March 11. The Bulldogs won the game 4-2 and wrapped up the series with a 3-2 overtime win the next night. The Bulldogs next play Notre Dame on April 7 in the NCAA Frozen Four.

The dance lines called the dreamettes, dreamgirlz, dreamsquad and dreamteam, from dreamdance Academy, came together to perform a jazz dance to the song "Vain" at the UMD Dance Show on March 26. The UMD Dance Team performs at this show along with outside dance lines from dance studios around Duluth. The ticket proceeds from the show help the UMD Dance Team pay for their trip to the national competition in Daytona Beach, Fla. The national competition will start on April 7.

UMD Senior, Logan Hunt uses the gym in the Recreational Sports Outdoor Program at the University of Minnesota Duluth to practice his basketball skills on Mar. 29.
