 HEALY is a Coast Guard icebreaker. HEALY is also the United States’ most advanced polar icebreaker.

HEALY con.  HEALY is a place where scientists can conduct their research.

History about HEALY USCGC HEALY the United States newest polar capable icebreaker, was commissioned as a U. S. Coast Guard cutter on August 21, The vessel was designed and built by Litton-Avondale Industries, Inc. and named after Captain Michael A. Healy of the U.S. Revenue Marine.

 The HEALY is designed to conduct a wide range of research activities, providing more than 4,200 square feet of scientific laboratory space, numerous electronic sensor systems, oceanographic winches, and accommodations for up to 50 scientists  HEALY HEALY

Facts about The HEALY  As a Coast Guard cutter, HEALY is also a capable platform for supporting other potential missions in the polar regions, including logistics, search and rescue, ship escort, environmental protection, and enforcement of laws and treaties. -
