What kind of skin did a dinosaur wear? Start with the white sheet of paper

Did it have feathers? Pull out the white sheet of paper to reveal the paper covered in feathers.

Or did it have hair? Pull out the feather sheet of paper to reveal the leopard print paper.

What color was dinosaur skin, do you think? Stay on hair while the children make guesses.

Some people say green. Pull out the leopard print paper to reveal the green paper.

But it could have been pink! Pull out the green paper to reveal the pink paper.

How did it feel to touch dinosaur skin? Leave in pink while children guess what dinosaur skin felt like.

Was it bumpy and thick? Pull out the pink paper to reveal the bumpy paper.

Or smooth and thin? Pull out the bumpy paper to reveal the slick “mylar” sheet.

How do we know what a dinosaur wore? Pull out the slick “mylar” sheet to reveal plain green sheet.

We imagine and color—that's what crayons are for! Pull out green paper to reveal colored paper.
