Charmayne Brown Reporter News Channel 7 Charmayne Brown joined News Channel 7 in August 2005 as a General Assignment Reporter, but months later, she became part of the 7 "On Your Side" team. Charmayne is the Community Watch Reporter. You'll see her cover a variety of stories where viewers write in to have Charmayne help them with Community Related issues. Her stories are featured during the 6:00 p.m. newscast. Charmayne has solved many problems for people in the Upstate. She gets answers and action by holding those responsible, accountable. From time to time, you'll even see her at the Anchor Desk, bringing all the Top Stories of the day. Charmayne Brown is an award winning Journalist. In August 2007, Charmayne received the South Carolina Broadcasters Association ‘Star Award’ for Best News Series for Hardly Handicapped. Charmayne spent weeks on the streets of several cities in the Upstate. She confronted drivers who were illegally parked in handicapped spaces. Charmayne took those concerns to law enforcement and lawmakers for answers and results.
