WHAT IS THE ICT SHSM ?

IS THE ICT SHSM FOR YOU ?  It’s a program designed for students entering grade 11 who have an interest in Film and Television, Computer Programming, or Technological Design, and are looking to develop advanced skills in one or all of these areas.

WHAT IF I’M ONLY INTERESTED IN FILM & TV?  We’ve designed the program so that students may focus on their main area of interest  For the most part, students are able to choose between the many field trips and events offered

HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM?  The ICT SHSM program requirements are completed while you finish high school in grades 11 and 12

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THE PROGRAM? 1. Attend ICT FIELD TRIPS to places like Google Canada, Robotics Competitions, TV & Film Studios, Skills Ontario Events, and Colleges and Universities with specialized ICT programs 2. Acquire CERTIFICATIONS in: 2D Animation, Lighting for Film and Television, DSLR Manual Camera Operation, and/or Programming Computer Applications 3. Compete in Regional and Provincial Film and Video CONTESTS 4. Join the ROBOTICS Club and compete in both Lego and Vex Robotics Competitions 5. You WILL make new friends, NETWORK with ICT industry leaders, and give yourself an ADVANTAGE in a highly competitive world

HOW WILL THE ICT SHSM BENEFIT YOU? 1. Gives you exclusive access to ICT Activities, Trips and Events 2. It will advance your Knowledge and Skills 3.
