 Caries Prevalence in Indonesia  Baby bottle tooth decay  Caries Detection for Children  Mucin MG2 responsible to Streptococcus mutans adhesion

 Salivary mucin MG2  α -enolase Streptococcus mutans

 Single monomeric protein  Molecular weigth are less then mucin MG1  Sintesized in acinar serous cell and detected in all sero mucous salivary glands  Adhere with much oral bacteria such as Streptococcus mutans

 Consecutive Sampling  Inclusion criteria: children between 3 – 5 yo who have dringking milk by bottle history  Unstimulate saliva collecting  ELISA method with anti mucin MG2 antibody in 450 nm

 Caries prevalence was represented by deft  Incresing mucin MG2 concentration will increase caries insidence

 Mucin MG2 will used to: - caries prediction - caries prevention

Mucin MG2 correlate to caries prevance in baby bottle tooth decay and could be a caries predictor and a tool to prevent caries molecularly
