I plan to show that people will choose Listerine as the best mouthwash.

What I had to do was to test all four mouthwashes, Listerine, Scope, Crest and Antiseptic oral rinse on a student over 12 years old, or an adult. I let the person rinse their mouth with Antiseptic oral rinse for ten seconds then they had to spit it out and rinse their mouth with water, then I would ask the person to rate the mouthwash from one through five. One being the lowest and five being the highest. And then I would do the same process with the others and at the end when their finished I ask them out of all four mouthwashes which one would be the best.

The oral bacteria cavity of the newborn baby doesn’t contain bacteria but rapidly becomes colonized with bacteria. Dental plaque is the material that adheres to the teeth and consists of bacterial cells, salivary polymers and bacterial extra-cellular products. Most of the bacterial species found in the mouth belong to microbial communities, called biofilm, a feature of which is interring bacterial communication. A method of communication involves cell. Oral bacteria have been shown to produce small peptides such as competence stimulating peptides which can help promote single species bioflim formation.

The mouth harbors a diverse, abundant and complex microbial community. This highly diverse micro flora inhabits the various surfaces of the normal mouth. Bacteria adhesion is particularly important for oral bacteria. Oral bacteria have evolved mechanisms to sense their environment and evade or modify the host. Bacteria occupy the ecological niche provided by both the tooth surface and gingival epithelium. However a highly efficient innate host defense system constantly monitors the bacterial colonization and prevent bacterial invasion of local tissues. Cont’d

I tested twelve people to test my experiment which was which mouthwash was the best. Most of the people choose Listerine as the best. From the twelve people eight of them choose Listerine as the best. Then after Listerine came scope as the second best mouthwash. I let the twelve people test four different type of mouthwash which was Listerine, scope, Crest, and antiseptic oral rinse. I made them rate from 1 through 5, five being the highest and one being the lowest. I made them rate each and every one of the four mouthwashes and Listerine came up with the highest votes.

Well I proved my hypothesis was true or correct. Because in my hypothesis I said that Listerine will be the best mouthwash in it was true. According to my data my prediction was truly correct.
