What further opportunities do we have? Ship Building and Ship Repairing is an International Business with great Greek presence worldwide There is an increasing demand of “modern” ships, i.e. consuming LNG, hybrids, etc. The Market of Yachts and Mega Yachts is blooming (despite the crisis) There is (and there will be) a substantial increase in the Cruise Industry in Greece There is a worldwide increase in the Greek flag ships and ships of Greek ownership There are several opportunities of European Union Subsidies and Funding (National Strategic Reference Framework, etc.) New “ship like” products can be built, like wind power generators (general or special use), platforms, railway infrastructure, drilling equipment, etc.

What further opportunities do we have? The LNG retrofit case … In Conclusion: LNG is one of the fuels of the future There is a strong will from EU for further LNG development, by all means All (ship owners, State, Workers, Authorities, Classes, etc.) agree they want it Some infrastructure is already there Technology is not an issue (to the opposite, it is an allay) Maybe it is the right time to start thinking about LNG retrofitting in the ship repair zone of Piraeus
