What are some of the produce and products which are produced in your area? In my area, which is in the suburbs of Naples, produces a lot of fruit and vegetables, such as hazelnuts, olives, tomatoes, potatoes and milk. All of these are then made into famous Italian products like olive oil, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and, of course, pizza. Have you tried our pizza yet? It is considered the best in Italy. It is made of fine homemade ingredients. Where do you live? What are the most produced products in the area where you live? Possible Questions and Answers

Talk about your earliest memory. Let me think. Well, I remember my first day at nursery school. I remember crying because I felt as if my mother was abandoning me there. But soon after, I met a very nice girl who made me feel better. We started playing with some toys and I forgot about my mother leaving me there. I have been friends with Mary since then. I also remember making new friends when I went to primary school…

What did you use to do with your grandparents when you were a child? When I was little, I used to go to my grandmother’s for lunch because my mother and father used to work. My grandmother used to make my favourite dish, pasta with meatballs. I vividly remember those wonderful moments spent together. We used to go to the seaside in summer and I would always ask for some money to buy ice-cream. Possible Questions and Answers

What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of living in a small town? If you were to live in a big city, what would be the advantages and disadvantages? I come from a small town and I must say it is quite nice living in it since there is peace and quiet and very little crime. The advantages of living in a big city, could be more job opportunities and more night life, better transport and maybe some ethnic diversity, especially now, in Italy, since it is becoming a multi-ethnic society like other European countries. However, there are some disadvantages about living in the big city, for example, there are less green areas or places to just sit and relax; the people are much more friendlier; the areas of a small town are much cleaner than the city and you could stay out late because there isn’t much crime. Possible Questions and Answers

Tell me about the marriage customs in your country. When a girl gets married in my country, it is a very special occasion. Since the Catholic religion is practiced in almost all the country, it is common for most people to get married in a church with a religious ceremony. The bride wears white, which is a symbol of purity, with a long, white veil and she is accompanied by her father down the aisle of the church, where the groom is waiting at the altar. The wedding rings are usually bought by the best man and the maid of honour and the names of the bride and groom and the date of the wedding are inscribed inside them. After the ceremony, people throw rice and the bride and groom usually take a lot of photos in a particular area that they have selected. Then a very long reception is held where a 7-course meal is served, usually of the typical traditional dishes of that area and the typical big wedding cake. At the end, the guests give the bride and groom their presents, it is usually money, and they are given a souvenir of the wedding with some sweets, sugar-coated almonds.
