Sierra Leone Stabilized political situation

 Covers an area of 71,600 sq. km.  Population 6.3 million  independence from Britain  brutal rebellion. Greatly damaged human infrastructure and economic resources.  British and UN intervention, peace accord signed and parliamentary democracy was restored.  A new parliamentary elections took place. The elections were declared to be open and fair by international observers and a peaceful transition of power has taken place to the main opposition party.  Since peace was restores there has been a resurgence of interest by foreign investors and private and public companies as: Titanium Resources, Sierra Rutile, Benny Steinmetz Group, African Minerals, Cluff Gold, Golden Stars Resources, West African Diamonds, Stellar Diamonds, Mano River, Petra diamonds, Sellcom and more. A New Era of Progress

Gold  All greenstone belts in Sierra Leone are known to contain load gold.  Systematic mapping and prospecting activities by the geological survey establish the existence of load gold in five granite- greenstone terrain in Sierra Leone.  Two of the main greenstone belts (Loko group and Gori hills) are inside AMR licenses.  Known load gold in Sierra Leone Shows assay values of up to 32g/t.  World average of alluvial gold is 0.5g/t to 2.2g/t in AMR’s License is more then 3.4g/t.  Geological survey studies considered Sierra Leone as a major undiscovered gold deposits more then any other mineral. Gold, Platinum and Diamonds occurrences in Sierra Leone

Platinum  Alluvial platinum was first discovered in the Freetown peninsula in  Exploration for bedrock platinum sources in 1990 focused partly around AMR’s license and located target areas with measurable amount of precious metals and with pt/pd ratios average of 5.5 which is unusually high by world standards. ( in South Africa).  Licence contains Platinum Group Metals and Gold. Gold, Platinum and Diamonds occurrences in Sierra Leone

Diamonds  Diamondiferous Kimberlite dykes and pipes occur in Koidu, Tongo and Fiama (a resent AMR discovery).  SL renowned for the quality of its diamonds and for the recovery of some spectacularly large stones of very high value from its alluvial deposits.  In AMR’s licences significant historical diamonds discoveries were made, including stones of 74ct, 42,ct, blue and red diamonds and 152.6ct worth $4m which is one of the largest ever found in Sierra Leone.  Petra Diamonds and Stellar Diamonds recently reported over their kimberlite dykes investigations that trial mining is now in progress, with 1200ct being produced at grades of ct/t. Gold, Platinum and Diamonds occurrences in Sierra Leone

 Operates the largest alluvial gold systematic explorations in Sierra Leone in  Recorded values averaging 3.44g/t Au and raging up to 6g/t Au.  AMR discovered large gold deposits in Sella Limba and Fiama Chiefdoms of more then 500,000 indicated and inferred ounces.  Trial mining commenced in June 2008 recovered gold at an average grade of 3.29g/t with nuggets weights up to 1.5g.  The extensive distribution of alluvial gold around the greenstones Kadabi hills and the large nuggets being found strongly points to the presence of multiple bedrock sources within the locality.  the geological survey and AMR findings establish the existence of load gold in two more greenstone known bedrock gold locations in Fiama. AMR Gold activity in Sierra Leone

 License covers much of the known alluvial deposits and bedrocks locations.  Alluvial production in the Freetown peninsula up to closure of the operation in 1949 was 5242oz with nuggets weighing up to 39g.  Prof Strasser-King, AMR’s chief geologist & Mohamed Bundu Mansaray the CEO were the leading geologists in past bedrock and alluvial investigations.  Recorded values averaging grade of 6g/t and potential resources of 28,000oz of platinum metal.  Investigations in 1990 located potential bedrock sources within anorthosite host rock with chip sample values and high pt/pd ratio. AMR Platinum activity in Sierra Leone

 AMR located Kimberlite dyke in new and unknown diamonds locations in width of more then 1m.  The dyke is an extension of one of the six known Kono kimberlite dykes. The finding prove that all kono dykes and pipes extend into north Fiama.  Primarily results from the dyke shows grade of 3.05ct/t with value of $440/ct and points to commercial potential.  diamonds weighing ct & 74 ct discovered in the AMR’s Sowadu project.  2007 –2008 AMR Launched a trial mining in Tefaya and Bambaya projects extracting diamonds (1000ct in Tefaya and 350ct in Bambaya) in grade of 25ct/t-38ct/t at an average value of $350/ct.  AMR discovered large diamonds deposits in Sella Limba and Fiama Chiefdoms of more then 700,000 measured, indicated, inferred and estimated carats. AMR Diamonds activity in Sierra Leone

The first (EXPL 59/2008) covers Sella Limba Chiefdom in northern Sierra Leone, The second (EXPL 60/2008) covers the Fiama Chiefdom in the east of the country, The third covers part of the Freetown Peninsula, near the capital in the west of the country and a mining rights for diamonds and gold to an area of the Bafi River gravels at Tefaya area, west of Kono. EXPL and mining rights for 20 years of 164 sq.km.  AMR is registered by the Mines Division of the Ministry of Mineral Resources of Sierra Leone (‘MMR’) as a company entitled to participate in mining anywhere in Sierra Leone.

AMR MINERAL PROJECT TENURE  AMR has signed a lease agreements and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Paramount Chiefs of the Fiama and sella Limba Chiefdoms, dated February This grants AMR the exclusive right to prospect for and mine minerals within the 435km2 area of the Exploration Licence for an initial period of 20 years (renewable). The company have the right to increase the size of the area leased, if required. Prior to mining, Avivit will be required to hold a valid mining licence from the MMR.  In return for the granting of the lease, proceeds from mining after deduction of all mining expenses will be split 70:30 between AMR and the Chiefdom, except for any diamonds >15ct in weight, where the split will be 60:40. AMR will have first right to purchase the Chiefdom’s share of production. In addition AMR is required to provide certain social assistance, specifically to establish a computer school in the kingdom, assist with road maintenance and to maintain a general merchandise business. AMR Gold Projects

Kate, Sella Limba gold project  The Loko Group is known as one of the oldest supercrustal units on the West African craton making it a greenstone belt of Archaean age.  At Kamakwie a number of discrete greenstone belt outliers are mapped, the gold found in the area by AMR is most likely to have a very local sources within the AMR licence.  River were reported to be derived from quartz ‘reefs’, associated with chalcopyrite, pyrite and micaceous hematite.  The AMR principals have supported up to 100 licensed artisanal miners in the Kateh area mining gold of oz gold between March and May  The gold recovered at Kateh shows a mixture of dust and nuggets including sections where 80% of the gold grains/nuggets recovered weighed between 0.2 – 1.5gms of 22ct quality.  In 2007/08 AMR completed a programme of systematic exploration pitting on 200m centres and 100m centres over an area of 6km2.

Kate gold project Kathumpe diamonds project

Kate, Sella Limba, gold project  The results confirm the presence of recoverable gold in the exploration pits, with recorded values averaging 3.44g/t Au and ranging up to 6.0g/t Au.  Deposits information:  Grade: 3.43g/t,  Indicated: 93,000 oz.  Inferred: 279,000 oz.  Estimated: 100,000 oz.  Average Price $700/oz.  In addition to the resource established by pitting within the initial 6km2 target area a considerable potential exists for discovery of further alluvial gold resources additional to those estimated above, especially in confined valleys and swamps in close proximity to greenstone hills.

Kate exploration pitting results and trial mining location

Kate gold trial project  AMR commenced trial mining at Kateh in June  The total area of the developed area is 390m by 200m.  The washing plant was at the site in July It is an eight-tray vibratory washing unit, with two rows of four tables with washing capacity of 7 tonnes per hour.  Preliminary results from the first six weeks proved grade of 3.29g/t.  Gold nuggets up to 1.5gm are reported from one production area, suggesting proximity to bedrock source.

Kate gold Mining plans  CSA Recommends and prepare a mining plan to install two 40 t/h plants, and feed them with a mechanised mining operation.  Production from such an operation could build up to in excess of 40,000oz per year of gold product.  Proposed mining plan for two years: See AMR mining plans 2008

AMR Platinum Projects

 AMR holds an exploration licence (EXPL) covering a 9.98km2 area in the northeast of the Peninsula mountain range, covering much of the Orugu River (alluvial) and its tributaries draining the mountains to the southwest (bedrock).  Investigation in the early 1990s by Peninsula Mining and General Services Ltd included closely spaced rock chip sampling.  Samples were sent to Lakefield Research of Canada.  A total of 166 rocks were analysed, show measurable amounts of precious metals ranging up to 530ppb Pt, 110ppb Pd and 130ppb Au.  Pt/Pd ratios are reported to average 5.5 within the main mineralised zone, which is unusually high by world standards (the Pt/Pd ration in the Bushveld Complex in South Africa averages ).  The zones in this investigations (Zone 2 and 3) extend into the AMR licence area, about 8km to the northwest. Freetown Platinum Project

 The alluvial platinum occurs as small nuggets, water-worn grains, delicate crystalline growths and some dust.  Nuggets were rounded or very irregular in shape and were commonly 0.5 to 7mm. in length. The largest nugget found weighed 39gm.  Production over the lifetime of mining project up to 1949 was 5,242oz.  Resource Potential:  Grade: 6g/t (Highest grade reported 34.5g/t)  Estimated: 28,000 oz,  Average Price $1400/ounce.  Other minerals occurrence: Gold, palladium, other. Freetown Platinum Project

AMR Platinum Investigation plans Bedrock investigations:  Mapping of the area at 1:10,000 scale, air photos, satellite imagery study.  Analysis of rock samples for Pt,Pd,Au.  Diamond core drilling program and the cores assayed for PGE and Au.  JORC standard analysis and independent observations.  Preparations of hard rock mining plan. Alluvial investigations:  Mapping, pitting, trenching and bulk sampling at rivers/streams and terraces down to bedrock.  JORC standard analysis of samples and independent observations.  Trial alluvial platinum mining.  Eluvial Deposits will be evaluated through soil sampling and percussion drilling.  Samples obtained will be analysed for PGMs and gold.  Proposed Exploration plans for two years: See AMR mining plans 2008

AMR Diamonds Projects

 The Fiama North 2 kimberlite target area covers approximately 45km2.  Northern Fiama was not traditionally considered to be prospective for diamonds, nevertheless historic maps do show up to six kimberlite dykes projected in from Kono, labelled sequentially as dyke zones ‘A’ to ‘F’ from southeast to northwest into Fiama.  Kimberlite dykes mining from zone A-F in kono shows grade of ct/t  Development of kimberlite pipes of significant size at Fiama is also possible.  AMR recently commenced exploration for kimberlite-hosted diamonds and quickly located a dyke within the northwestern corner of the Fiama EXPL. This appears to represent an extension of dyke ‘E’ of the Kono kimberlite swarm. Fiama North 2 Kimberlite Diamond Project

 The dyke is near vertical and is consistent in width along strike, at 1m wide and more.  Excavation by AMR was carried out on the dyke at four locations to depths of 7-8.5m covering about 900m of strike.  6.2t of decomposed dyke material/alluvium from the first three trenches was processed. Results demonstrate that the dyke is, indeed, diamondiferous. In total 27 stones were recovered, including six of gem quality, up to a maximum weight of 2.02ct.  The average grade for the material washed was 3.05ct/t at value of US$440/ct which point to the commercial potential of the dyke and other unexplored dykes in the area that run parallel to dyke ‘E’. Fiama North 2 Kimberlite Diamond Project

Exploration plans

Bedrock investigations:  excavation of a series of 200m long trenches across the projected strike of the Kono dyke swarm, covering the area from the north of the EXPL to the vicinity of the Bambaya trial mining.  Locating all six dykes and exposing all length of dykes.  Obtain bulk samples of alluvium for diamond recovery test work and to obtain heavy mineral concentrate for indicator mineral study.  Additional kimberlite dyke material will be excavated in order to composite a large bulk sample for crushing and diamond analysis at a recognised laboratory.  feasibility of economically mining the alluvium in the vicinity of dyke ‘E’.  Exploration program to locate kimberlite pips. Alluvial investigations:  Systematic 200x200 pitting along the dykes.  JORC standard analysis of samples and independent observations.  Trial alluvial along dyke mining.  Proposed Exploration plans for two years: See AMR mining plans 2008 Fiama North 2 Kimberlite Exploration plans

 An area of 250 acres has been outlined by AMR.  Trial mining operations have commenced on 3 pits of 30x30 each. Washing of 1308t of gravel started in June 2008 recovering 330ct in average price of $250/ct and average grade of 0.25ct/t.  It is considered likely that at least one of the Koidu dykes extends northeastwards through the Bambaya target area, possibly Dyke ‘A’, an extension of the dyke on which Koidu pipe No.2 occurs and which is being developed by Koidu Holdings. Bambaya diamond project

 A programme of trenching of 10mx3m was carried out at Bambaya within the 250 acre target area with recovery of diamonds from all the completed trenches with average grade of 0.38ct/t.  Beyond the 250 acre initial target area but still within the AMR EXPL, strong potential also exists for outlining more diamond resources.  Classified Resource Estimate :  Grade: 0.25ct/t,  Measured: 5,015 carats.  Indicated: 7,648 carats.  Inferred: 40,148 carats.  Estimated: 311,000 carats. Bambaya trial mining

Sowadu diamond project  An area of 350 acres has been outlined by AMR.  AMR has identified at least five sites within the Sowadu target area where significant historical diamond discoveries were made, including some very large stones. These include the discovery in 2006, of a single stone weighing 152.6ct, one of the largest ever found in Sierra Leone and other stones of 35, 21, 11 and 70 carats.  A programme of trenching of 10mx3m was carried out at Bambaya within the 250 acre target area with recovery of 8 diamonds from the completed trenches with average grade of 0.33ct/t.  Beyond the 350 acre initial target area but still within the AMR EXPL, strong potential also exists for outlining more diamond resources  Classified Resource Estimate :  Grade: 0.25ct/t,  Inferred: 18,953 carats.  Estimated: 250,000 carats.

Sowadu diamond project

Bambaya & Sowadu Mining and investigations plans  CSA Recommends and prepare a mining plan to install one 40 t/h plants, and feed them with a mechanised mining operation.  Production from such an operation could build up to in excess of 36,000ct per year of diamonds product.  Systematic 200x200 pitting of 3 sq.km.  JORC standard analysis and independent observations.  Proposed mining plan for two years: (10 years lifetime) See AMR mining plans 2008

Tefaya Gold & diamond project  The lease encompasses an area of 35 acres, with 30 acres covering riverbank and terrace and five covering the Bfi river gravels.  African Minerals reports diamond recovery from operations between August 2006 and May 2007 of 18,072ct, with the most recent batch achieving a price of US$504.25/ct.  During 2006 AMR worked on an area of virgin gravels and produced 800 diamonds weighing c.1,000ct, with an average value of US$300/ct.  Working was in progress for gold recovery during the CSA site visit. This confirmed the presence of significant quantities of fine grained gold. Resource Estimate :  Grade: 0.33ct/t,  Estimated: 70,000 carats.

Tefaya Gold & diamond exploration plan  Systematic 200x200 pitting of 35 acre.  JORC standard analysis and independent observations.  Bulk sampling.  Proposed plan: Not at this stage

Kathumpe Diamonds Project  An area of 6 sq.km has been outlined by AMR.  Investigations reported by African Minerals Ltd on adjoining ground have identified ilmenite and pyrope kimberlite indicator minerals and kimberlite fissure tracks into AMR EXPL.  A programme of pitting was commissioned in 2004 by the AMR and supports the likely presence of one or more kimberlite sources within the local catchments area.  At least 10,000 miners were active by mid-2004 (The licensed were supported by AMR) with production of ct and large stones of 56,11,28 carats and high value blue and red stones were reported.  AMR undertook a programme of exploration 8mx3mx6m trenching at Kathumpeh, total of 14 trenches pits were excavated, one diamond weighing 1.395ct was recovered and gold.  Resource Estimate :  Grade: 0.3ct/t,  Estimated: 82,500 carats.

Kathumpe exploration plan  Ground magnetic survey.  Kimberlite investigations.  Systematic 200x200 pitting of 6 sq.km.  JORC standard analysis and independent observations.  Bulk sampling.  Proposed plan: Not at this stage.
