NIKE: so much more than a brand name!!! Research and Presentation: Alex Paradeisis George Skarlatos Teacher: Kyriakidou E.

NIKE is in fact another face of the Goddess of Victory Nike is perhaps the most famous athletic brand. Nevertheless, not many people know that Nike is more than that: it is currently the most famous mythical figure used in advertising. Nike is the Goddess of Victory, the ancient Greek «Νίκη της Σαμοθράκης».

Nike’s Wing turns into a commercial stylized logo

Symbolism behind Nike’s Logo The wings support the athletic nature of the product – the company logo is a stylised wing – in that they stand for great god given perhaps speed and agility. The assumption is that this is what the consumer will gain when they buy a Nike product.

He is Blessed, he who buys Nike!!!! The winged female figure also suggests angels, the image of which was, in fact, influenced by the Greek Goddess Nike. So, the Angel connotation implies a moral imperative to buy Nike products: He is blessed, he who buys Nike!

One thing is certain: Nike’s Successful Logo brings…. … millions of dollars and a big satisfied smile on its investors faces…
