CLEP If you have had formal Spanish classes in high school or college; are a native speaker, heritage speaker or a speaker that grew up in the barrio; you are most likely in the wrong class. CLEP out of Spanish (and up to 16 credits). – Register : ($80) – Call Testing services, 2 nd floor Gruening 5277 to reserve a seat ($25) – Test out of Spanish and challenge yourself with other classes (or simply test out of this requirement in your core)

Syllabus – Cartoon version (short, but not detailed, $ saver) – Full version posted on Wordpress and Blackboard – Download/print at your convenience Tentative course schedule – Good guide of what will be covered – May move quicker or slower depending on the difficulty of the lesson Spanish first names – If not transferable, need to choose one (5-10 min) – www.

The method – Student evaluations taken to heart; “¡pa’l carajo con los Websam!” Flipped course concept – You will learn content on your own (as much as possible): PPTs, screencast, video, etc. – Questions/activities assigned with content will be turned in the next day (brief) – Websam activities based on that night’s content

¡Vamos! Flipped cont. – During the first minutes of class = question/answer period for content & Websam work (with partner, groups, one-on-one with instructor…bring laptops, smartphones) – After Websam work = reinforcement and communicative activities.
