3 When greeting someone it is customary to shake hands. Many people also exchange a kiss on the cheek or a hug. The greeting changes with the time of the day.

4 Hola. (oh-la)

5 This expression can be used by anyone at anytime.

6 Buenos días is used in the morning. (B-way-nos-dee-ahs)

7 Buenas tardes is used in the afternoon and early evening. (B-way-nas-tar-days)

8 Buenas noches is used at night. (B-way-nas-no-chays)

9 These expressions are all used to say good- bye. (Despedidas=Farewells)

10 Adiós Means Good-bye

11 Hasta mañana literally means “until tomorrow”

12 Hasta luego Means: “see you later”

14 Nos vemos (Used to express that you and another person expect to see each-other later in the day or in the near future.)
