Classification Approvals for New and Modified Positions to be Posted HR/Compensation approval is required in the following cases: The requested position classification is not established within the immediate work area The primary duties and responsibilities differ from those of the previous position to the extent that the position requires a new title, and there are no other positions with the proposed title in the immediate work area. The Position Classification Code of the requested title has a “7” or higher as a second digit (e.g. A7085)
