Hitler was a very smart and influential man. He was a good speaker and told the people what they wanted to hear.

“It also reminds us — if such a reminder is necessary — of the need for international cooperation to restrain potential “mad dogs” in world politics before they are dangerous enough to bite.” I think it helps my main idea because no one thought Hitler was going to cause as much bad as he did.

“Hitler came to power in a democracy with a highly liberal Constitution, and in part by using democratic freedoms to undermine and then destroy democracy itself.” This helps my main idea by stating how Hitler took away the people rights.

“Increasingly, Hitler seemed to a good third of the German electorate the only hope to putting the country back on its feet, restoring pride and bringing about national salvation.” This part plays into the deception and how Hitler used his talking skills to get the peoples vote.

Why did you have us to the assignment? What gave you the idea to pick these speakers out of all the influential people throughout history?
