People turned to radical politics.

16. Hitler lost the presidential election,
But the Nazis got 33% of the votes
For the Reichstag (Parliament)
This made them the largest party
In the country.
In 1933, president Von Hindenburg
(WW1 Hero) appointed his former
Soldier, Hitler, as Chancellor of Germany
The Nazis now had power,
But needed to turn it into total
Power, as Hitler said in Mein Kampf
