The overall objective: - T o contribute to the increase of Croatian economy competitiveness, by introducing efficient knowledge transfer from R&D sector to the business sector Specific objectives: Development of innovation strategies for partner institutions Setup of a common knowledge database by technology/knowledge mapping Improvement of IP protection skills for young scientists Training of scientific managers at partner institutions in entrepreneurship Presentation of innovation capacities of partner institutions to business community

Mapping and screening of research and innovation capacities Development of knowledge database Data to be collected / mapped: 1. Department / Laboratory / Faculty expertise 2. Employee expertise 3. Equipment / Instruments e.g. personal and contact data, qualifications / competences, field of research, past and on-going projects, former and on-going collaborations, available instruments and techniques, future interests (basic research, applied research, translational research, collaboration with industry, education, consultancy, commercial services, patenting and licencing, founding spin-offs, etc.),...

Benefits (for scientists): finding needed expertise/instrument/technique at RBI or in Croatia / enabling others to find the expertise/ instrument/ technique finding partners for future collaboration/projects at RBI or at other institutions / enabling others to find them Benefits (for business community/industry) Finding partners for scientific expertise at RBI Finding adequate service at RBI’s laboratories Developing the common projects

Sustainability: The action is expected to yield: accepted and implemented innovation strategies, organised system of intellectual property support at all levels – from the project preparation and contract negotiation, identification of invention to commercialization, organized support to scientist in assessment of IP in projects, continuous education of new scientific staff and students about IP, scientific entrepreneurship, continuous promotion of innovative activities in business community and in public.
