PURPOSE The purpose of this meeting is to generate interest in a DC Metro Area Configuration and Data Management Regional Chapter Seek participation from the private sector, vendors, defense industry, and the government Determine what kind of programs (i.e. Symposiums) should the DC Regional Chapter offer throughout the year
INTRODUCTION INTO ACDM Background Executive Board Purpose
ACDM The Association for Configuration and Data Management, founded in the early 1990s, is an organization focused on the advancement of the profession and field of configuration, data and change management. With a membership base that spans the entire globe, the ACDM serves its members with education, advocacy, intellectual resources and the setting of standards to achieve excellence. ~From the ACDM Website
EXECUTIVE BOARD Cynthia Hauer – President Joe Roman – Vice President of Services Bonnie Johnson – Vice President of Education Ram White – Treasurer Brian Roeder – CM Chairperson
ACDM NATIONAL CHAPTER PURPOSE Promote configuration management (CM) and data management (DM) through education, advocacy, intellectual resources, and standards of excellence Use multiple social services (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) to promote healthy discussions of CM and DM for both members and non-members Hold Annual Technical and Training Conference
DC REGIONAL CHAPTER The regional chapter allows both configuration and data managers, software engineers, and vendors in the DC metro area to come together in different settings to discuss and share information on CM and DM. Hold monthly half-day meetings on pertinent CM and DM topics Hold semi-annual Symposiums based on community involvement
