WMO scale of assessment WMO scale approved by Congress WMO scale based on UN scale WMO scale adjusted for difference in membership Minimum rate 0.02% and maximum 22% for WMO (0.001% and 22% for UN) Current approval for WMO scale limited to 2011 Need to consider new scales for sixteenth budget period 2012 to 2015 Budget Proposal

2.WMO scale 2012 and 2013 UN scale for 2010 to 2012 approved by UN General Assembly in December 2009 –Basis for WMO 2012 scale (prolonged from 2011) UN scale for 2013 to 2015 expected to be approved by UN General Assembly in December 2012 –UN approval too late for Congress (2011) or Executive Council (June 2012) to determine 2013 WMO scale –Therefore: 2013 WMO scale prolonged from 2012

3. WMO scale 2014 and 2015 UN scale for 2013 to 2015 expected to be approved by UN General Assembly in December 2012 –2014 and 2015 WMO scale to be approved by Executive Council in June 2013 Congress to authorize Executive Council to adjust scale for 2014 and 2015 Budget Proposal
