Lacrosse/ STX ball Where did lacrosse begin? Lacrosse was first played in North America. It was used in contest among various North American Indians. In 1867 Dr. George W. Beers created the first set of rules. Equipment needed: Crosse: Stick with basket on the end ( the term Lacrosse- French for the Stick) Ball Goal Helmets, mask and padding (in actual lacrosse) STX- Ball: non contact, lead up activity to Lacrosse.

The Game 6 players per team No Goalie Only 4 offensive players may cross center line Must have both hands on stick at all times Two passes made before shot on goal Ball at mid court after goal
