LENNOX PD PLAN SCHOOL YEAR

LENNOX SCHOOL DISTRICT 950 students Student surveys indicate that not enough project based assessments are given. Annual district data retreat is held every fall. Surveys are given after every in-service to get more ideas from staff. Technology is incorporated into classrooms more each year (SMART! boards, document cameras, flip cameras, and SMART! Response)

LENNOX PD GOAL Create assessments that are more project- based than traditional testing methods. Action Steps  Survey students  Provide training on how to create alternative assessments.  Provide training on how to deliver content that involves more creativity and student interaction.  Assess students traditional vs. project-based

STAYING ON THE RIGHT TRACK Survey staff and students on the effectiveness of project-based assessment. Teachers create personal goals that include assessment through the used of project-based learning. Teacher meetings that include sharing of how they are meeting the goal. Professional Development committee will meet numerous times to discuss how the goal is being met. Technology committee will meet monthly do discuss how the goal is being met.

RESOURCES More access to computers for staff and students. Increased bandwidth Informational resources on how deliver project-based assessment from outside professionals and teacher leaders.
