At the dawn of EU’s next Framework Programme the Munic Round Table aims to initiate a dialogue between European MedTech stakeholders, by bringing people from academia and industry together to highlight and discuss current and future challenges in MedTech research and innovation. Aims To develop tangible recommendations for activities and themes that can inspire the European Union in the implementation of the forthcoming framework programme (FP8) To gather ideas and suggestions for improvements and new topics that shall be integrated into the next framework programme (FP8) Background 5

The round table will be summarised in a concluding paper. As a follow up key European MedTech stakeholders interested in influencing the priorities for FP8 are invited to comment and contribute to the concluding paper. The concluding paper will be presented to representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament at an event in Brussels (late June). Follow up 7
