WORKSHOP EASW FUTURE SCENARIOS OBJECTIVES OBJECTIVES Use of the EASW methodology: as a tool for technical and preparatory support for activities related to projects and development plans In order to help to emerge multiple perspectives / perceptions / different ideas from several social actors on the “use of the territory” ; As a paths-platform of possible ways-projects support to local development projects” ;

WORKSHOP EASW SPECIFIC OBJECTIVIES: To facilitate the exchange of knowledge, opinions and ideas among associations, technicians, public administrators and representatives of the business sector To identify and discuss the identity and diversity of problems perception and solutions by different groups of participants; To encourage a public debate in the local community about possible scenarios of urban life from different points of view 3

Potential Advantages of the method 1/2 allows to obtain in a single day : *contemporary comparison among 4 different categories of actors in an articulate manner; *elaboration of future scenarios on cross-implications of one city and 1 common vision *definition of ideas- proposals for change with action and roles support for developing of operational projects (the possibility of starting projects to be developed later) 4

WORKSHOP EASW SCENARIOS ……… XX Development scenarios morning: 1 question for 4 areas how I would like “XXX” in 2015?: HOW 6 The themes and the actors can be changed according to the objectives and context entrepreneurs administrators associations technicians A scenario is a vision / image of a possible future The use of scenarios is naturally congenial to human being. “ Children always think through scenarios. They do it all the days…..develop a vision and are committed to achieve it”

WORKSHOP EASW Participants 4 groups of participants: 1. Entrerprise of the two clusters 2. Pubblic Administration 3. Expert –Universities 4. Industrial Association and Territorial Representatives, Agencies of Development 8

WORKSHOP EASW Participants Each group should be composed aprox. By 10 representative. In order to reach this number at least 80 representatives should be invited. 9

WORKSHOP EASW Schedule of the day Morning : Plenary session (registration of participants, introduction of the project and presentation of the days activities, presentation of possibile scenario already elaborated on the theme to be discussed) Participants are dived into 4 groups (enterprises, pubblic administrators, reserchers/expert, association/representative) Each group will work on positive and negative scenarios of the belonging cluster. Each group will realize a summary on the discussion and will present it in the following plenary session 10

WORKSHOP EASW Programme of the day Afterluch: Plenary session (presentation of the different scenarios described in each group) Participants are dived into 4 groups related to 4 different themes e.g: Innovation, technology transfer……(this time the different stakeholders will be mixed so a group will be composed by an enterprise, a pubblic administration, a resercher/expert, anassociation/representative) Each group will work discussion on concrete actions to be realized in order to reach the positive scenario discussed before or in order to avoid the realization of a negative scenario. Each group will realize a summary on the discussion and will present it in the following plenary session 11

WORKSHOP EASW Programme of the day From the pleanary session we will have the draft of the ACTION PLAN The document will be corrected and translated in english and will be ready for the Transnational workshop If some issues need to be discussed moreover there is the possibility to realize two small focus group in order to discuss on particular aspects or themes. The group of participant should be very restricted and composed by the different represant of the four sector. 12
