Overview ● Comprised of MIS / ISAS members ● Discussing the “how” of 15-minute scheduling rather then the “why” ● Purpose - to solicit and compile a solid understanding of how 15-minute scheduling would impact WECC members 2

Survey ● The task force asked for information on how intra-hour scheduling was currently being handled and what it would take to move to 15 minute scheduling ● Safe to say there is not a common approach to either how we are currently dealing with intra- hour scheduling or how we would deal with “imposed” 15 minute scheduling 3

The Survey ● The survey was composed of 10 key areas  Bumping of Schedules  Duration of Schedules  Volume of Transactions  Common Timelines  Coordinated Checkouts  Accounting  Transmission Rights  Staffing and Automation  Reliability Standards and Criteria  Ramping 4

Work completed and observations ● The task force has completed the initial survey and performed an analysis of the results ● It appears that the majority of the impact would be realized by the Transmission Providers ● There was agreement on a number of issues such as:  bumping  need for common ramp rates at points of interchange  concerns about intra-hour transmission products  etc

Next Steps ● The task force will be circulating a second survey to get a better understanding of the impacts Transmission Providers are anticipating  This survey will only be circulated to Transmission Providers ● Questions and comments to:
