2009 IEEE Region 1 Winter Meeting PACE Program Report IEEE-USA PACE IEEE-USA PACE Network PACE (Professional Activities Committees for Engineers) is a grassroots network of IEEE volunteers and committees organized at the section and chapter level in the United States with support from their respective regions and the IEEE-USA. The goals of the PACE Network are to promote the professional interests of IEEE's U.S. members as well as provide a mechanism for communication of members' views on their professional needs. 2009 IEEE Region 1 Winter Meeting PACE Program Report IEEE-USA Divisional PACE Divisional PACE funding is available to support section technical society Chapter PACE activities Divisional PACE funds Up to $5K across IEEE-USA Up to $1,000 per request Funding requests must be at least matched by chapter/section funding Request using the Divisional PACE Project Funding Request form Send to PACE Divisional Coordinator After October of each year, the IEEE-USA PACE Committee may allocate un-requested Divisional PACE funds to Regional PACE project requests

2009 IEEE Region 1 Winter Meeting PACE Program Report IEEE-USA Regional PACE Region PACE Funds Annual grant to Regions 1-6 determined by: 1/3 divided equally 1/3 based on membership 1/3 based on number of sections Regions disperse funds to their sections to encourage and support section professional development events and activities Region 1 Professional Development Funds ~$13K Annually for Region 1  Ground Rule: Use it or lose it
