Standard Form: (normal number way)

Base 10 Block Form: Shows the VALUE of the number! What’s the WORTH of the number? Value = worth

Expanded Form: (looks like a rubber band expanding) Shows the VALUE of the number! Breaks it down into what base 10 blocks were used to create the big number!

Place is the location of the digit in a big number. Place is its spot. The PLACE value of the 1 is the thousands place. Use word form to indicate PLACE.

Value is how much the big number is worth. Value is written as the underlined digit’s value in expanded form.
