Today we will begin our PowerPoint presentation! Step 1 Open up Microsoft PowerPoint. Step 2 First create a template for the background you want. Go to “General Templates” on the right-side of your screen. Search and choose a template that you like.

DESIGNING YOUR TITLE SLIDE Step 3 There are many different content layouts. For your 1st slide, let’s just use the default one. Type in the name of your presentation. What did you read about in Reading class? What was your non-fiction topic? This is your title. Type it within the box provided at the top. You can change the size or color of your font easily. Here let me show you what this looks like…. (teacher go to next slide and do an example)

DESIGNING YOUR TITLE SLIDE Step 4 Add a picture that goes with your title. Go to text box (lower part of slide) and we will insert a picture. First let’s SAVE your PowerPoint…now minimize it. Go to Google, next Images, type in search box what you are looking for, right-click “save as”, create a name for picture, and save it. Now let’s insert the image. Maximize your PowerPoint, Insert, Picture, From File, choose picture, Insert. GREAT!!! Resize your picture if necessary. Save your work again. Your title slide is now done!
