Categorical Questions Categorical questions are types of questions that invites to a “yes” or “no” answer. Examples: Have you participated in TTM 2 ? - Yes. Do you like participatory methods? - Yes. Informative Questions Informative questions can be answered briefly: Examples: Where did you participate in TTM 2? - In Denmark. What kind participatory methods do you like most? - I like group work How many degrees must it be in the seminar room before you feel it is cold? - 17 degrees. How long did it take you to do your session plan? - It took two hours. TTM 3
Elaborated Questions Elaborated questions are often regarded as the preferred types of questions because they force the participants to say a lot - not just yes/no. Examples: Why did you go to TTM 2? - Because I want to be a trainer ….
