Linguistically Isolated Household Example of linguistic/cultural isolation at the neighborhood level: Cambodian, Vietnamese & Chinese migrants all have a higher % of individuals that don’t speak English than Dominicans However, fewer percentages of those groups live in linguistically isolated households than Dominicans Assuming that these migrant groups are equally likely to live in multi-generational households (where the children may pick up English more quickly), why are the Dominicans more isolated at the household level?
