3rd GD Geometry 101 Review Game

Geometry is the study of shapes and lines.

Look at the following pictures and state the TERM for each.

A LINE: straight and continues in both directions. It does not end.

RAY: part of a line. One endpoint RAY: part of a line. One endpoint. Straight and continues in one direction.

POINT: exact position or location (on a line)

Line Segment: Part of a line with 2 endpoints.

Angle: formed by 2 rays or line segments that share an endpoint.

What type of ANGLE? Right, Acute, Obtuse???

Right Angle: forms a square corner

What type of ANGLE? Right, Acute, Obtuse???

Acute: smaller than a right angle.

What type of ANGLE? Right, Acute, Obtuse???

Obtuse: Bigger than a right angle

What type of lines? Intersecting, Perpendicular, Parallel???
