Nutrient Cycles. Nutrients  Nutrients in the food you eat provide energy and matter that your body needs to stay alive  You need nutrients to carry.
The Water Cycle Water never leaves the Earth. It is used over and over again. This process, known as the water cycle, is driven by energy from the sun.
Cycles of Matter. Recycling in the Biosphere Unlike the one way flow of energy, matter is recycled within and between ecosystems Unlike the one way flow.
Aim: How does water get recycled? DO NOW: 1. Where does water come from? 2. What happens to water when the sun heats it up? 3. Is the water that we have.

Cycles vs Flows In ecology and Earth science, a biogeochemical cycle or substance turnover or cycling of substances is a pathway by which a chemical substance moves through biotic (biosphere) and abiotic (geosphere, atmosphere, and hydrosphere) compartments of Earth. Energy does not cycle, as it flows in one direction. Material cycles and energy flows write these here

Many Cycles, but Limited Materials Discussion

Water Cycle 1. Evaporation occurs when warm water turns into water vapor (gas) and Transpiration is when plants lose water through their leaves, or like when we sweat. Condensation occurs when water vapor cools and turns back into water droplets. Precipitation falls from the clouds to Earth 4. Accumulation: and runs down to the ocean, seeps into the ground, or makes lakes.
