4 Evaporation – Water vapor rises.
Condensation – The change of water vapor to liquid water when the warm air of the atmosphere rises, cools and loses its ability to hold water. Precipitation – Rain, snow, sleet, hail, etc. Transpiration – The evaporation of water into the atmosphere through the leaves and stems of plants. Ground Water – runoff from glaciers and icecaps; surface water in aquifers, for example.
