You will find it on the spine of the book. What is a Call Number? A call number is the address of a book. It tells us where to find it on the shelf. You will find it on the spine of the book.
Sections of the Library Where would we find the books? Don’t Forget: Look at the Call Number FIC means the book is a made up story. You will find it in the Fiction section of the library. E means the book is also fiction but it is a picture book. You will find it in the Picture Books section of the library. If it Starts with a number (398.23) it gives us factual information. You will find it in the Dewey Decimal, Non-fiction section of the library. B means the book is about a real person. You will find it in the Biography section.
