Noam Chomsky Language Acquisition

Human beings are pre-disposed to learning language. He called this the Language Acquisition Device (LAD) Babies’ brains are programmed and ready for communication. Children learn words when they begin to talk and how to put them together in the right order.

DISCUSS! Children are able to learn complex grammar in their own language and do not need to sit down to be taught it- rather they listen to all the sounds and sentence structures they hear all the time. DISCUSS!
