Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010 Padova Scanning lab. Umut KOSE INFN-Padova Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010

Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010 Microscopes Scanning was stopped about 1 month due to some hardware problems (Bari meeting). Thanks to Gabriele, with his help the problem understood (X-axis encoder is broken) and solved. The scanning resumed 5 August. For a quick solution, we exchange the stage with the new one which was bought for the second microscope. Therefore the construction of the second mic. delayed for awhile. Broken stage have been sent to MICOS company, Germany on 30 August. We are waiting for detail information. Microscopes Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010

Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010 Some questions.. What kind of events would be glued, edge or all? Not glued!!! Not glued!!! Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010

Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010 Brick Handling: For several bricks, emulsion films was not in a correct order!!!! What happens? Can we see the web page in which all CS scanning results stored, from outside of LNGS? Glued!!! Not glued!!! Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010

Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010 Quick check of CS predictions 70% CC  71% with muon  45% 4/4 and 55% ¾ 77% of the tracks 4/4 + 23% 3/4 43% convergence pattern seen (%67 with muon + 33% no muon) 29% single track on CS (75% muon + 25% hadron) and (25% 4/4 + 75% 3/4) 30% NC  45% of the tracks 4/4 + 55% 3/4 50% convergence pattern seen Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010

Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010 Future prospects Start scanning with second microscope, When 2nd mic. ready for scanning, plate changer would be attached and configured. With current speed 4 events/week could be finished. With second microscope we could increase the number of located events.. Italian Lab Meeting-CETARA 13-14 September 2010
