Document approved by the BoG Status of Actions Action 34.1 Volunteers are encouraged to make presentations on regulatory arrangements and on actions taken or planned following Fukushima accident. 34.2 DS439 Safety Requirements Appendix IV "Reprocessing Facilities" and Appendix V "Fuel Cycle Research and Development Facilities" of NS-R-5, with NUSSC comments implemented, can be submitted to the CSS. Status Croatia, Korea Document approved by the BoG

Status of Actions ( cont’d) 34.3 DS431 Safety Guide on Digital Instrumentation and Control Systems was not approved to be sent for MSs comments. The CS meeting of core group and NUSSC volunteers will be organized to look at the level of details and increase consensus on the document. The draft should better reflect the Fukushima lessons learned. Status Done

Status of Actions ( cont’d) 34.4 DS436 Safety Guide on Instrumentation and Control and Software Important to Safety for Research Reactors can be sent to MS for comments. Status Done

Status of Actions ( cont’d) 34.5 DS367 Safety Guide on Safety Classification of Structures, Systems and Components in Nuclear Power Plants was not approved by NUSSC for submission to CSS. A CS meeting of core group and NUSSC volunteers will be organized to prepare a new revision of DS367. Decision to send DS367 to CSS might be made electronically if a new draft is available early January 2013. NUSCC Members will have to give a “go/no-go” answer. Volunteers: UK, WNA, Finland, Germany, Japan, France, ENISS. Status Done. Document was approved by the CSS.

Status of Actions ( cont’d) Done. Action 34.6 DPP NST023 Physical Protection of Nuclear Facilities and Nuclear Material in Use and Storage was “approved” by NUSSC. The new DPP format should be implemented. Information on comments resolution will be provided to NUSSC.

Status of Actions ( cont’d) Action 34.8 IAEA should assure that NUSSC Members comments on Nuclear Security Documents are considered prior to NUSSC meetings so that their resolution can be discussed at the meeting. 34.9 Pilot review of Safety Guides NS-G-2.15, NS-G-1.9 and NS-G-1.10 should be performed and results should be provided to NUSSC at its next meeting. Status Done. Item 1.9
