Introducing: Texas Bluebonnet Nominee Books

About Texas Bluebonnet Nominee Books Students third grade through sixth grade are eligible to participate. These participating students select at least five books they would like to read or have read to them from the Texas Bluebonnet Nominee Book List. The Texas Bluebonnet book list is reviewed and compiled from suggestions given to the TBA committee by librarians, teachers, parents, students, and others. Individual students across the state of Texas vote for their favorite story the end of January annually. The title with the most votes earns the TEXAS BLUEBONNET AWARD for that year. The Texas State Library Association sponsors this program for the sole purpose of encouraging free voluntary reading.
