What The Peace Offerings Have For Us Today A CALL TO FELLOWSHIP What The Peace Offerings Have For Us Today

Hebrews 13:20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant

Col. 3:15, And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Col. 1:20, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

Phil. 4:7, And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Galatians 5:22, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Ephesians 6:15, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. Ephesians 2:14, For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility

Romans 5:3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

Romans 5:9-10 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

Hebrews 7:25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

What shall be our response? Romans 5 v. 1, Thanks, being justified we have peace v. 2, Obligation, our faith is a living faith v. 10-11, fellowship, with God and man

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come.

About the peace offering… Leviticus 3 3 And from the sacrifice of the peace offering, as a food offering to the LORD, he shall offer the fat covering the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, 4 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove with the kidneys. 5 Then Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar on top of the burnt offering, which is on the wood on the fire; it is a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the LORD It was unique It was offered on top of the burnt offering

It was unique It was offered on top of the burnt offering The Lord had his portion

About the peace offering… It was unique It was offered on top of the burnt offering The Lord had his portion There were three occasions for this offering 7:12, thanksgiving 7:16, consideration of a vow And freewill offering

Lessons for Us from The Peace Offering Primary emphasis is on thanksgiving Father wants appreciation Lord’s portion is the best It’s a reminder of the covenant Thanksgiving Obligation fellowship

The first step toward holiness was the burnt offering, speaking to atonement. The grain offering said thank you. The peace offering speaks to fellowship renewed.
