What is a CAP Grant? Colorado Arts Partnership Grant CAP Grants support innovative projects that demonstrate strong collaboration among community arts partners and teachers in order to provide arts instruction to students. Application Open – September 13, 2019 Application Deadline – November 15, 2019 by 5:00 pm Grant Award Notification – December 6, 2019 Final Report Deadline – May 15, 2020

Are you eligible to apply? Applicant must be a faculty or staff member of a Colorado school that serves PK-12 students. Religious schools are NOT eligible to apply. School must provide a financial match of at least 30% of the amount requested. The match can come from numerous sources (e.g., school funds, PTA/PTO funds, grants, foundations, and/or student fees). The project must occur during the academic school day. The project must impact students surrounding innovation and creativity. The project must involve a Colorado artist/s or arts organization. Think 360 Arts can be your partner! Please limit your proposals to one per school.

Funding Request: How much funding are you requesting for this grant? We will only fund projects from $2,000 - $5,000 The school must contribute a 30% cash match.

Project Timeline: Provide a timeline for the project. Grant recipients will receive acknowledgment of their award by December 6, 2019. Projects must be completed by May 15, 2020. Maximum character count including spaces = 1500

Staffing Involved in the Project: List at least two people who will be involved. One staff member from your school One teaching artist or arts organization representative. Describe each person’s role in the project. People listed may be other school staff members, teaching artists, and/or key volunteers.

Who will be reviewing the applications? Think 360 Arts employs third party professionals to read and score each application. Think 360 Arts staff will review each application and make all final rewarding decisions.

How Will the Applications be Scored? Student Engagement Connection to Standards Outcomes / Evaluation Impact Description Goals

Proofread!! We will NOT fund: creating a costume closet, collaboration with out-of-state artists, staff/teacher compensation, materials requests only. You MUST pay the artist(s) a living wage for their time. Priority funding will be available for rural schools outside of Denver- Metro. Save a copy of your entire grant application in a Word document You receive ½ of the grant in December and the other ½ when final report and project are complete. Submit your final report early to get the balance of your funds sooner. Ask questions!
