new on share of renewables in electricity generation July update Since January, new on share of renewables in electricity generation and increase in ENTSO-E Transparency Platform usage.

RES generation in 2018 Share of renewables in electricity generation July update Share of renewables in electricity generation TSOs facilitated the integration of 19 GW extra of wind and solar between 2017 and 2018 This is about 25% less than between 2016 and 2017 (25 GW extra) (Source: ENTSO-E Statistical Factsheet 2018) ©ENTSO-E All rights reserved

Electricity generation 2017 July update Electricity generation Fossil fuel in net electricity generation has decreased by 2% while renewables in net electricity generation increased by same amount between 2017 and 2018 2018 RES has reached 35% of the total electricity generation in the EU Overall the European energy supply remains largely powered by non-renewable energy sources, with close to 65% of net generation in 2017, as opposed to 35% from renewable sources.
