Bellwork: Monday, November 5 Make a list of all the countries you know are in North America. Make a list of all the cities you know are in North America. Make a list of all the physical features you know are in North America.

North America: Political North America is divided into 23 countries. The largest three, both in area and in population, are Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Ten countries are on the mainland, 13 are on islands in the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea.

North America: Physical Features North America has a varied landscape. The eastern part is largely plains, forests, and low mountains, while the western part has tall mountains and fertile coasts. Central America has an abundance of mountains and rainforests.

North America: Population North America has a population of around 579 million people, or about 8% of the world’s population. The majority of people live in southern Canada, the eastern and West Coast of the United States, and Mexico.
